Child Safeguarding Policy
Buxton Rugby Union Football Club will promote and encourage Safeguarding of all children within the Club or otherwise involved with the activities of the Club and the Club will follow the RFU Safeguarding Policy
All Club activities will be conducted to ensure where practicable the safeguarding of all children in the Club or involved with Club activities
The interests of all children in the Club or involved in any activities of the Club will therefore be considered paramount.
Any incident or circumstance affecting the well being of any child must be immediately reported to the Club Safeguarding Officer
All matters reported or any other incident or circumstance, which comes to the attention of the committee, will be investigated, as the committee consider appropriate. They will have power to suspend membership of the Club and/or involvement with Club activities of any person involved or suspected of being involved in any irresponsible or inappropriate conduct or activity toward any child or who fails to co-operate fully with the committee in their work in respect to Safeguarding children
The Committee shall be empowered to seek advice or assistance at any time from any individual or agency with relevant expertise.
The Committee on conclusion of any such consideration or investigation shall report the outcome but without prejudice to such a report will be empowered to take such steps on behalf of the Club as they reasonably consider are required for the protection of any child or for the protection of the interests of the club including reporting any such matter to any appropriate authorities and in doing so shall have regard to the paramount interests of the child.
In reporting the committee shall have due regard to issues of confidentiality and the paramount interests of any child and may where they consider it appropriate limit or withhold the details of such investigation, outcome, report or other steps.
