Four former and current Bulls were involved in the recent 2019 Middle East-Africa (MEA) Championship

The Bulls were delighted to hear the news that Marcus-Alexander Neil and Abeku Nelson were selected to represent Ghana at the recent MEA Championship in Lagos, Nigeria. Marcus-Alexander Neil was also named captain and the side was coached by Andy Gilvary.

The MEA Championship featured Ghana, Cameroon, Morocco and, the eventual winners, Nigeria. It was founded this year to help develop the game in these nations and give talented players the opportunity to represent their country in a recognised international competition. Nigeria were captained by London Broncos player Sadiq Adebiyi, showing how seriously the competition was being taken.

The Cameroon side was coached and managed by Bulls very own Khalil Njoya, who set off to Cameroon nearly a year ago to develop rugby league in the country and we would like to say how proud we are of the work he has done over there to grow our great game!

Results:
Nigeria 23-12 Ghana
Cameroon 4-8 Morocco

Bronze Final
Cameroon 4-10 Ghana

Final
Nigeria 38-10 Morocco
