"I wasn't phased, I saw it as a challenge"

Asher is a 17 year old midfielder, who was a regular in Brimsdown's U18 team last season. Asher is still eligible for the U18's, but he found himself in Marvin Walker's 1st team plans after impressing him and Aaron Archer in training.

On 11th October 2014, Asher started his first ever senior game, when he lined up for Brimsdown against Clean Slate. Speaking on that game, Asher said "I wasn't phased, I saw it as a challenge, a chance to impose my authority on men older then me"

He added "I may not be the most vocal, but I'm far from shy. I try to lead by example by letting my feet do the talking"

The skillful midfielder made an immediate impact in his first start, he scored the opening goal in a 8-2 win and that victory was the beginning of Brimsdown's amazing unbeaten run.

Unfortunately in his next game, Asher suffered a bad shoulder injury which kept him out for 5 months. He said "God gives me strength. What do great athletes do ? They come back stronger and that's exactly what I'm planning to do"

When speaking on what he hopes to achieve Asher said "My dream is to become a professional football player. Not only do I want to represent a big premier league club. I long to put on an England shirt and represent my country. I don't want to be a player that cruises through games. I want to make a difference and be signalled out as one of the best"

Asher will be in the squad for The Limers important game against Kent Athletic on Saturday 28th March
