Jim Joins the Mens Coaching set-up

BRFC Men strengthen their coaching team with the addition of James Dearing as Assitant coach.

James Dearing, head coach of Boston Buccaneers joins the Boston RFC mens coaching set up as an Assistant Coach, Jim will take responsibility for matchday coaching of the 2nd XV as part of his responsibilities.

Originally from Hull, Jim played for East Hull ARLFC before joining the RAF in 2001, where he played Rugby League for the RAF at station and senior level, lucky enough to be part of teams that won the RAF Cup, Inter Services Cup and went on tours to New Zealand, Russia and Jamaica. Jim also had a stint of playing Rugby Union for Norwich RFC whilst at RAF Coltishall.
Jim moved to Coningsby in 2006. Played for Lincoln City Knights RLFC for a couple of seasons Before joining The Boston Buccaneers when they started in 2014 and taking over the coaching duties in 2017.

Jim states that he is ‘excited to develop as a coach and I’m looks forward to learning more about Rugby Union from the players and coaches at Boston RFC.’

Jim will introduce himself through pre-season and will fully join the squad on completion of the Rugby League Season.
