Our young and energetic coaching team are building a team of equally young and energetic players.

This coming season will see Bletchley 1st XV competing in the Bucks Berks and Oxon Premier Division and teams in other local competitions. To meet this challenge the Club has appointed a young dynamic coaching team led by Kyle Gibbings.

Kyle together with Tom Stainsby, Oliver Whitmore, Ryan Cane, and Phil Harman are currently leading pre-season activities for Senior Men, Ladies, and Colts.

If you or you know someone who is interested in playing Senior/Colts rugby, then please contact Oliver Whitmore (07415 317 544) for more information!

Training times for Seniors and Colts are Tuesdays 7-8:30 and Thursdays 7-8:30 and we have friendlies already in the diary, with the first being on the 9th August under the lights on a Friday night at Manor Fields. We welcome players of all ages and abilities to join us and below is a little more information on the coaches.

Kyle Gibbings has played a major role with the Seniors for some time and made his debut when he was 18 since then he has represented the county for under 20's and Senior level. He has also coached the extremely successful Ladies side. He is an accredited level 2 coach and brings in a wealth of experience from his time playing in the backs.

Tom Stainsby made his debut into the 1st team at the age of 17, at a time when the club was playing one below national 3. Tom has played county in his youth and has played national 2 rugby up north for Huddersfield and captained his university side. Tom is also an accredited level 2 coach and has coached the under 16's and Colts in the past 2 years. Tom has also coached the Wasps DPP after being selected during his level 2 coaching course. He has played as a fullback, winger, centre, flanker, 8, tight head, and loosehead. So you might say he is a rather versatile player!

Oliver Whitmore started playing for the 1st team at the age of 18 and has also represented his county at under 20's level. He made his way to the performance squad in Nottingham Trent University and was fortunate enough to be coached by Neil Fowkes (Now head coach of Nottingham RUFC) for 2 years which allowed him to accumulate great knowledge on game management. Oli has coached with Tom the under 16's and Colts, he is also an accredited level 2 coach and he will be leading the Colts this season. Oli has also coached the Wasps DPP after being selected during his level 2 coaching course.

Ryan Cane has been involved with the Saints Academy and he went to Moulton College and played against and with the next batch of promising players at the time. Ryan has since played key roles in Bletchley's past success in the 1st team and looks to emulate this as a support coach. Ryan is a hard-running no-nonsense centre and is a great addition to the team. Ryan will also be heading up the coaching for the very successful ladies team.

Phil Harman has been a key figurehead to Bletchley for many years, so much so that oppositions always remember him as the guy who could get Bletchley 3 points from anywhere on the pitch! Phil's knowledge on kicking and controlling a game as a 10 is priceless and we are very fortunate to have him as part of this team.

Along with Coaches, we also have Debbie Woulds joining us as a physio! She is our club physio and will ensure all paid members of the club are fit to play and she will hold regular surgeries at Manor Fields. Debbie is a physio at the NHS and has worked with several rugby teams as head physio including Buckinghamshire's Senior team and Ladies team.
