It is that time of year again for The Greendogs where we dust off the boots and put some miles in the legs. Pre-season starts on Tuesday at 7pm where coach Lewis Glover and Director of Rugby Stephen Duffus will be ready to put the team through their paces.

Inevitably, sweat and heavy breathing will occur, but with the goal of having a team ready to go up against opposition who will be just as prepared.

Newly appointed first team captain Adam Ord said “after blowing off the cobwebs every Thursday with touch rugby, it’s now time for the more serious work where we need to come together and push each other to get into the best shape we possibly can. Last year we showed a lot of fight and grit to stay up, now it’s time to push on and get more big wins”.

In the first three fixtures, the Greendogs have massive opposition in Nuneaton Old Edwardians at home, Hinckley away and then an almighty match back at The Coop Sports Ground against our nearest neighbours Belgrave.
