AGM info and committee position overviews.

Hi all,

So we have a busy summer ahead but we need to elect a new committee! How exciting. Our AGM will be happening on the 1st of July 2023 after the first Taster Session we're hosting. The plan is too finish the session by 13:30 so we can start the AGM for 14:00 in the club house. No excuses boys big turn out please!

There are some new positions available so please read below to get an overview of each one, if you want to go for one please send your manifesto to secretary@birminghambullsrfc.com and chairman@birminghambullsrfc.com by Friday the 23rd of June and they will be shared with the club leading up to the AGM so we can decide who we will vote for.

Chair - Convene committee meetings and run them in accordance with agenda, ensuring that all tasks are allocated and followed through. Liaise with outside agencies (NMRFU, IGR, RFU etc), being the administrative 'face' of the club. Bank account signatory. Liaise with the Secretary to ensure GMS and Companies house are up to date.

Secretary - Produce meeting agendas and minutes. Along with the Chair, maintain the RFU's GMS, and any companies house developments.

Treasurer - Supply detailed accounts annually to AGM, manage the bank account along with the other signatory, sign off expenditure and pay invoices and subscriptions. Liaise with Sponsorship and funding officer to arrange income sources, Fixture sec to ensure subscriptions are paid and Members officer to ensure members are paying subs.

Club Captain - Ensure playing members are catered for with training arranged, and adequate coaching. Liaise with other coaching staff to set a vision for playing style and choose matchday teams. Lead the club on tour (Bingham, Rome)

Fixtures Secretary - Arrange fixtures and Referees, liaising with host club, league, North mids RFU and North Mids refs. Arranging food for post matches.

Membership Officer - To be the main link between the club membership (playing and supporting) and the committee for any concerns. Must be very 'plugged in' to the club and able to know a wide range of people. To liaise with the Captain and Treasurer.

Social Secretary - Now responsible for purely the 'in-person' social activities, Christmas dinner, end of Season dinner, pride, + various other social events throughout the calendar.

Media and Engagement Officer - Responsible for our social media and web presence, will engage with media partners to promote the club within the West Mids. Close collaboration with Chair, Social sec, Fixtures and members.

Sponsorship and Funding Officer - Responsible for sourcing funding (grants and sponsorship), and working with the Chair and Treasurer to maintain those relationships.

Touch Rugby Representative - This person would be in charge of exploring and building a touch section within Birmingham Bulls RFC, we host the biggest touch tournament in the UK so makes sense. If a section develops this person would be in-charge of fixtures and all things touch.

Member(s) without portfolio - No specific role, but open for those in the club that express an interest in volunteering their time, and can assist at busy times of the calendar (eg end of season dinner/pride, or assist fixtures sec with post match food)

If you have any questions please give any of the committee a shout by message or at training.
