The Ashley Wakelin Sportsmanship Award

After the tragic loss of our dear friend and defender Ashley Wakelin who passed away after being involved in a car accident in October 2011.

His employers (DHL) had an award made which would be presented to a Bilborough United player at the end of every season called The Ashley Wakelin Sportsmanship Award.

This award will be awarded to the player who shows the most commitment and sportsman like conduct throughout the whole season each year.

Ashley will be dearly missed and will remain part of this club indefinatley and we thank DHL for presenting the club with the award.
