The Eagles welcome Ware back to the Eyrie in a huge playoff semi-final match in the Southern League Division One Central. Bedford look to carry on their strong form from April into the playoffs in the bid for promotion to step three.
Last time out, Bedford beat North Leigh 4-0 at home to end the season with an excellent victory. A double from Leon Lobjoit as well as goals form Liam Dulson and Ryan Blake were more than enough to get the win.
This is just the latest of a brilliant run of form by the Eagles. Another recent victory was a 0-2 win against Leighton Town with former Leighton players Kyle Connolly and Leon Lobjoit scoring the goals.
Before that match, Bedford had also beaten Welwyn Garden City 5-1 and Hertford Town 7-0. Lee Bircham’s side have hit top form at the perfect time.
Ware will be looking to avenge their 7-1 defeat here at the Eyrie earlier this season and to try and advance to the final. Ware have made it to the final in the last two seasons but lost to North Leigh and Didcot Town.
This season, Ware have had a good year and secured a fifth-place finish. The Blues have won eighteen from their thirty-six games and have also scored sixty-nine goals.
Last time against the Eagles, Ware won the game 4-2 at Wodson Park on non-league day. Despite being 0-2 down, the Blues fought back and won the game 4-2.
This game could really go any way! Be sure to get down to the Eyrie to support Lee Bircham and his side.
