Barkingside fell to a 2-1 defeat last night away to Hoddesdon Town in their final away league match of the season.

Hoddesdon started brightly and took the lead on eight minutes through forward Connor Bolton

No further goals were scored in the first-half, with the hosts having to wait until 82 minutee to double their lead.

A long free-kick into the box saw Billy Skinner tap home after his initial header was saved by 'Side keeper Lubomir Georgiev.

'Side did grab a consolation late on through full-back Callum Laver on 96 minutes in injury-time but it proved too little to late.

The defeat leaves James Wakeling's men in 13th place in the table, with Hoddesdon moving up to 10th six points aheaf of 'Side.

The Sky Blues will finish their league campaign at home against Dunmow Town on Friday 19th April. Kick-off for that match is at 7:45pm.
