After a lengthy discussion about how to win the toss, Nev did then was unsure of what to do next so chose to bowl. Albon (2/38) struck early on with 2 good catches from sobering up Butty and White. Bland (57) went nuts and was carting the ball around to all parts till 2 batches of rain halted proceedings and with the covers been taken down during the game, players just laid down to cover the wicket! After many dropped catches, White (1/37) took his wicket and got the run out of Muir (10) as Trimpell then went in overdrive. Sparks (23) getting some loose stuff until he edged one behind off Cheeseyman (1/53) and walked (a rare sight in the modern game, so respect). Baldwin (46 not out) and Armer (43 not out) tried getting the 50s but run out of overs, setting Bare 209 to win in just 37 overs.
Butty (13) started well but his hang over meant he couldn't see a straight one from Bland (1/23), thus getting bowled. Then Frank went nuts and boring Robbie got us off to a decent start, 50/1 off 10. Then Copey slowed the rate down and Frank moaned about the sun so most people were having to entertain themselves! Smith (34 not out) nearly scoring his predicted 1 run an over and White finishing with another 50 (71 not out to be precise!) and defending the last 2 overs meaning both teams end up with 6 points a piece. Now to do the Moonlight Walk, enjoy the closed season all, a great effort all round by Bare and a massive thanks to Nev for his casual leadership!
