Things continue to be busy for the Junior Section

The Junior Section have been busy over the last few weeks and look like August will also be a busy month.

Our Under 7s were in action at Maryport a couple of weeks ago and acquitted themselves very well indeed under the watchful eye of Ian Tinnion and David Wilson.

The Under 9s played a great game of rugby against their counterparts from Broughton Red Rose last Thursday with both sides showing some great skills.

The Under 10s played on Sunday away to a (very) large Kells side and were narrowly beaten but, again, some great rugby was played and Coach, Greig Nicholson, reported some superb teamwork.

The Under 12s continue to make strides forward with Luke Johnson at the helm and are training hard after their home and away fixtures against Cockermouth. Both sides won their home games.

The Under 14s made the trip to Gateshead Storm yesterday and despite being on the end of a 44-0 defeat came away with many plaudits for their work-rate, endeavour and attitude (both on and off the field). Coaches Holliday and Reynolds can be justifiably proud of the squad.

Coming up, the Under 10s travel to Distington on Wednesday evening and then our Under 7s, 10s, 12s and 14s will be playing at Kingston Park in the Moody Cup organised by Newcastle Thunder on 14th August.
