Current first team player Miquel Tomas represented and captained the Spain national rugby league team on Saturday in their narrow defeat to the Netherlands.
To represent your country at any level of any sport must be a huge privilege and massive achievement so from everyone at Acklam RUFC we congratulate you on your achievement.

Having messaged Miquel on his game on Saturday he replied “ Never in my life I'd have thought I'd be captaining the national side. 1W 1L so far. Gutted, because we know we could have won it, but we let ourselves down at some stages“ he went on to explain about injuries which left Spain playing parts of the game with only 12 men.
