*COACHES COMMENTS*
Well no one told me he was 15 when he played the first game of the season for the U'19s, and therefore we were docked points. However, i didn't care as it was clear that we'd unearthed a gem.
Now 16, Sam has amazed everyone with his confidence on the ball and shot stopping. training with quality U'23 players in technically challenging sessions.
When Chris Carter was injured, Sam was thrown into the U'23 side for a big away game in York. We won 3-0 and he was excellent. We don't even think of him as that young, and that is the best tribute we can pay him.
Sam will got lots of opportunities to develop this season, but there is no rush.
