Welcome from The President

To become the President of any organisation is always a distinction, but to be given this position in Hemel Hempstead (Camelot) RUFC is a massive honour and privilege for me. Our Club has a great history, and I look forward to upholding all that is great about our Club for the upcoming Centenary season.

As just mentioned, this is our Centenary Year and I look forward to not only having a great year on the pitch but also off it with the numerous events and functions that we will be hosting. Can I also offer a sincere Camelot welcome to all our visiting teams & supporters. Hospitality is at the centre of our Club, and it is a noted feature of Camelot RUFC that it’s a hard Club to leave. I have no doubt that games will be hard fought and contested to the end, but when the final whistle blows we look forward to seeing you all in the Clubhouse afterwards for some relaxing refreshments.

The Club continues to go through a transitional period with a lot of new faces getting involved in volunteering at all levels. This all bodes well for the future. So a big thank you goes to them for getting involved and also to those who are continuing in their roles, as volunteering is vital and provides the backbone for our Club. I believe we have an excellent structure in place at Camelot and ask you all to back and support our committee and office bearers. We are all trying our best. We must also bear in mind those members who made Camelot what it is today. We must continue with this legacy in a responsible manner with good stewardship and clear direction

We plan to upgrade the facilities over the next few years to a standard that our players and members deserve. This could not happened without the support of our members, the local community, the hard work of various development and fundraising committees and the generous support of numerous sponsors. I thank everyone for their contribution to improving our facilities both on and off the pitch.

I would like to thank all of our sponsors for their continued support and I would appeal to everyone to make a conscious effort to support them during the year.
Finally, I would like to wish all our members, their families and friends a successful and enjoyable season and I look forward to meeting with you all.

Yours in rugby,
Toni Massa
President
